When residents come to the polls on May 21^st to vote on the Haldane Central School District (Proposition I) you will also have an opportunity to vote on a second proposition. This proposition calls for spending up to $132,000 on a van replacement and security hardware upgrades. The full proposition is described in our budget newsletter and is reprinted below.

Proposition II. School Bus Van Purchase and School Security Improvement Project. Shall the following resolution be adopted to wit: RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Haldane central School District at Philipstown, Dutchess and Putnam Counties, New York, is hereby authorized to purchase a school bus van at a maximum estimated cost of ($52,000) and to make security improvements to various School District facilities ($80,00), and that of the maximum estimated cost of $132,000, $107,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary shall be raised by the levy of a tax upon the taxable property of said District and collected in annual installments as provided by Section 416 of the education Law and, in anticipation of such tax, obligations of said District shall be issued, and $25,000 shall be paid from state building aid monies.

The Annual Haldane High School Talent Show was held on Friday, April 26^th.   The following Haldane Teachers (pictured) provided another amazing performance this year:  Christine Comerford, Scott Many, Andrea McCue, Sue Spratt, Michelle Grasso, Kristen Savastano-Peparo, Carolyn McLaughlin, Danielle Gobbo, Julianne Burok-Hoffman, Lori Isler and Melissa Seideman  Their routine began with  the Bee Gee’s Stayin’ Alive and then went directly to the very popular Gangnam Style by Psy.  Their performance brought the house down!!
