Curriculum maps are now available on-line! Curriculum maps explain what we teach, when we teach it and the skills that students need to acquire. It is the desire of the district to provide a well articulated curriculum K - 12 that supports teachers and parents on behalf of our students. This is the first year that we are providing curriculum maps to parents, and therefore we anticipate revisions throughout the year as we monitor the effectiveness of the maps.

What's Right With Haldane

Haldane salutes and celebrates the 2012 NHS Inductees! On Wednesday, January 11, 2012, twenty-seven Haldane High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society. Lou Sassano, National Honor Society Advisor, welcomed all students and families of the New Inductees. Brian Alm, High School Principal, directed his comments to the inductees and also thanked parents and teachers for their support. Haldane is very proud of these students for their accomplishments. (Pictured are the National Honor Society Officers.)

Over 70 Elementary Students had an afternoon of Lego building fun. Children in grades K – 5 enjoyed building Lego cities, a Chinese Dragon, building and racing Lego cars, and creating their own concoctions. To top it off, each child went home with their own Lego set! Skillfully run by Brick Kids, the PTA raised over $1100 from this wonderful event making it a win/win/win – the students had a great time, parents had an afternoon off, and the PTA raised money to support its programs such as the Sustainable Garden, educational speakers, and scholarships. Haldane would like to thank the PTA and all of the volunteers for their continued support and dedication to our students.
