Wednesday, January 7: KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION OPEN

Please complete the registration process detailed above and contact the Elementary Office at x122 to finalize registration. Students are not required to attend.

Thursday, February 12 at 6:00PM: PARENT ORIENTATION MEETING

Parents Only (no sign-up required). We will provide an overview for parents of the kindergarten program at Haldane and answer your questions.

Monday, April 6 - Tuesday, April 7: KINDERGARTEN SCREENING

Appointments to be scheduled during registration process. Teachers will meet with your child for approximately 20 minutes to assess their current skills. You will have a chance to complete a parent input form describing your child’s progress and your observations at home.

Wednesday, May 13 at 9:00AM: GET TO KNOW YOU DAY 1

Students will visit a kindergarten classroom and participate in fun activities. This helps ease anxiety and give them a sense of what school will be like. On Day 1 there is student participation only. On Day 2 there is a Q&A for parents with Principal Jamin while the students are with the teachers.

Thursday, May 28 at 9:00AM: GET TO KNOW YOU DAY 2

While students are visiting their classroom, parents will attend a Q & A session with Principal Jamin.

The following documents must be uploaded into Family ID in order to complete this registration.

Birth Certificate

Proof of Immunization (with official stamp or signature of health care provider)

Verification of Residency Requirements

Affidavit of Property Owner or Landlord Document (if applicable)

Non-Custodial Parent Form (if applicable)

Home Language Questionnaire English or Home Language Questionnaire Spanish

Required NYS School Health Examination Form

Individualized Education Plan or 504, if applicable

If you are unable to upload the forms, you may bring hard copies into the Elementary School Main Office and complete the registration process in person.
