Superintendent
Philip Benante, Ed. D.
Dr. Philip Benante enters his fifth year as Superintendent of Schools for the Haldane Central School District. Prior to his arrival at Haldane, Dr. Benante was the Deputy Superintendent of Schools for the Arlington Central School District in nearby Dutchess County, New York. Dr. Benante began his career in Arlington as an elementary classroom teacher and served as a high school assistant principal and elementary school principal prior to his role as deputy superintendent.
A lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, Dr. Benante enjoys many of the activities that the area has to offer, including hiking, bicycling, and taking in the arts. He also serves as a Board member for the Grace Smith House in Poughkeepsie, NY, an organization dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence. For the past six years he has also served as a volunteer with the Town of LaGrange Little League.
Dr. Benante, his wife, Kerri, and their two sons, Cole and Luke, reside in LaGrange, NY.
